Population and Geography 

Covering 19,000 square kilometers and locating in middle latitudes of northern hemisphere, Changchun is under temperate continiental humid monsoon climate. In summer, Changchun enjoys cool breeze and plenty of greens, so as to be called "Spring City in north". In winter, heavy snowfall makes this city a beautiful crystal. With population of 6.8 million, Changchun's population accounts for 26.2% of the total in Jinlin province.

 Industry and Human resources 

Automobile, deep-processing of agricultural and sideline products, high-tech industry are three pillar industries in Changchun. Changchun takes the lead in the fields of biological medicine, optical machine and new material. Profound industrial base and rich grain resource, human resource has come into being, which produce a free atmosphere for development. Academies also flourishes in Changchun , including 200 academies and more than10,000 technicians among whom 50% have junior qualifications.
